In this Nokia BH-905i Review, I’m going to lay out my honest opinion about the product.
Since I actually own one of these headsets, together with a more expensive Sennheiser headset, it’s possible to make some fair comparisons.
Nokia BH-905i Review – Pros
It’s kind of hard not to fall in love with the Nokia BH 905i, the minute you have it in your hands. It is actually smaller than it appears in advertisements, but that makes it even more compact.
It’s durable, and made from both plastic and metal.
The BH-905i comes with extra head padding, which gives it a comfortable fit for longer usage.
Like any good headphones, you are able to adjust it to accommodate various head shapes and sizes.
The right earpiece is the command control center of the Nokia BH-905i. There you will find the Pause and Play, Forward, Rewind, and the Power buttons.
In the left earpiece, you’ll find the Nokia 3-pin charger, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), as well as a notification light.
There are a few noticeable differences between the BH-905 and 905i. The latter has smaller headband and is a bit more stylish. It’s also much lighter, and that makes it a crowd pleaser when it comes to wearing it on long trips.
The Active Noise Cancellation makes most background noises non-existent, or at the least tolerable. That includes humming jet engines, small crowds and active kids.
The Nokia BH 905i quickly transforms from wireless to wired headset at the click of a button.
A strong Li-ion Polymer Rechargeable Battery will get you up to 24 hours of talk and music playback time. That time is cut down to about 14 hours when the ANC is activated, and it takes only two hours to fully charge.
The voice quality is superb! No one will even know you’re talking to them through a headset. The quality is that good.
Nokia BH 905i Review – Cons
One thing that might be noticeable to some is the slight hissing sound that occurs when the ANC is on. It’s not noticeable while the music is playing, but between songs, it can usually be heard.
You really can’t beat the price. If you look hard enough, you can pick up a Nokia BH 905i for just under $200. That’s much cheaper than a Sennheiser.
So, if you’re looking for a high quality Bluetooth that’s easy on your wallet, you can’t go wrong with the BH 905i.
The sound quality is quite good. It’s not on par with a Bose headset, but it’s not priced as much, either.
People will argue that the sound quality isn’t as good as a wired headset, but Bluetooth quality is always a little less. However, unless you’re a music expert, you won’t notice the fine line between the two. You will only know that your music sounds much better than it does from an average headset.
Nokia BH 905i – Conclusion
I find it hard to go wrong with the Nokia BH 905i. It’s economical; it performs at a high level with distinctive high tones, and a thumping bass sound.
The noise cancellation works as promised, and you are sure to enjoy many hours of enjoyable listening.
